Additionalia
Most web sites have the problem with lack and dearth of content. This is not a problem with this web site as you may be finding. In fact, a good case could be made that the opposite is true. This additionalia page holds several links to material that has been superceded by newer coding or that overflows the Welcome page. There is continual movement of scripts between the welcome page and here and no doubt in the future, as in the past, there will be additional movement between these two pages, but at the moment we present the additionalia page below.
- Every now and then this web site tries to provide for novice dancers the step instructions for easier Israeli dances. We haven't done it for a while and we normally use John Frank as our example. The last time detailed the dance eretz, eretz and you can see this by clicking here.
- We present a script that has been made obsolete by the extension of our video clip coverage. At one time, a separate script tried to keep track of 'bodies' of video work such as Nissim Ben Ami's channel on youtube. The videoclips script on the welcome page now does this and much more in addition to its function of documenting video presentations for dances and music covered by this web site. However, you can see this original script that was dedicated to the web bodies of video work by clicking here.
- You have to feel sorry for the next script discussed here. It keeps bouncing between this page and the second menu of the index (welcome) page. We are of course talking about the script honoring those recipients of the Israeli dancer of the week award. An Ad-hoc group of dancers infreguently meets to determine if there is anyone that should be so awarded (although the purchase of the box of chocolate is in the hands of one person). You can see a writeup on this by clicking here.
- The diskcoordinator website is pleased to announce the creation of a new award, The Iron[wo]man Israeli Dance Award. Recently, the first two recipients was honored. Are you going to be next? The prize is worth it and you can see the award, the prize and the ceremony by clicking here
